NEXT TOWN BOARD MEETING - MONDAY, September 8, 2008 August 28, 2008 The Town Board workshop meeting (located in the Supervisor's office) will begin at 6:30pm. Town Board meeting begins at 7:30pm. in the Court Room at the Town Hall. Those members of the public who wish to address the Town Board will be given the *privelege of the floor* to make public comments at the beginning of the public meeting. Those wishing to review Town Board meeting minutes may make a request at the Town Clerk's office.
BEACH PARK TO REMAIN OPEN WITH LIFEGUARDS UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1ST August 10, 2008 The Town of Hanover operates a public beach park located in Sunset Bay on South Shore Drive. Swimming is permitted only when lifeguards are on duty. Lifeguards will be on duty daily from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. and as weather and water conditions permit. Concerns or questions regarding the Town Beach Park may be directed to Supervisor Kathy Tampio at 934-2273. LET'S ALL HAVE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE SUMMER! PLEASE OBSERVE SAVE SWIMMING PRACTICES AND HELP KEEP OUR BEACH CLEAN BY DEPOSITING TRASH IN THE RECEPTICLES PROVIDED. Beach Park rules include: no glass containers, no alcoholic beverages, no open fires, no dogs, and no littering. The beach park features a newly renovated restroom facility, a pavilion with picnic tables, a children's playground and cooking grills. A parking area is available to town residents by obtaining a permit at the Town Clerk's office. PLEASE ENJOY THIS SUMMER SEASON!
REMINDER TO DOG OWNERS! April 01, 2008 Town of Hanover Law regulating dog ownership specifies that a dog may not be allowed to become a "public nuisance" by continual barking, attacking any person or domestic animal, damaging property, displaying aggressive behavior, running at large and must be under the direct control of the owner or person otherwise having custody of such dog. This local law is enforced by Dog Control Officer Wally Baker, who may be contacted by calling 934-4539 or the Town Clerk at 934-2273. Owners are also reminded to keep their dog licenses up to date!

NEW DRIVEWAY PERMITS NOW REQUIRED IN TOWN June 08, 2007 After Public Hearing and Town Board adoption of Local Law # 2 of the year 2007, new driveway installations on Town of Hanover roadways require a permit from the Highway Superintendent. To apply for these permits contact the Building Inspector's office in the Hanover Town Hall. There is no permit fee. For driveway access on county or state roads an application must be made to the appropriate county or state agency.
