All dog owners in the Town of Hanover are reminded to obtain a dog license at the Town Clerk's office and renew the license on an annual basis.
The Town of Hanover Law regulating dog ownership specifies that a dog may not be allowed to become a "public nuisance" by continual barking, attacking any person or domestic animal, damaging property, displaying aggressive behavior, running at large and must be under the direct control of the owner or person otherwise having custody of such dog. This local law is enforced by Dog Control Officer Wally Baker, who may be contacted by calling 934-4539 or the Town Clerk at 934-2273.
